WHAT IS DRIP IRRIGATION?
Drip irrigation delivers water and nutrients directly to plant roots through a network of tubing and emitters. It saves water, reduces runoff, and helps plants grow stronger.
Main parts of a typical drip system
-
Dripline with Built-in Emitters – Flexible tubing that carries water and delivers it slowly and precisely at the base of each plant through integrated drippers
- Mainline & Submain Pipes – Carry water from the source to different areas of the irrigation system
-
Filters – remove sediment, debris, and particles to prevent emitters from clogging
-
Pressure regulators – maintain consistent water pressure for even distribution across the system
-
Valves – control water flow to different zones; often connected to timers for automation
-
Fertilizer injectors – add nutrients directly into the irrigation water for efficient fertigation
-
Fittings and connectors join pipes and tubes; they include tees, elbows, couplers, and end caps.
Perfect for gardens, greenhouses, farms, and row crops.
